Your Residents... our alpacas
Our alpacas are of a sweet, gentle nature. They are inquisitive, and will readily eat treats out of resident’s hands. They are an excellent conversation starter between residents and they love to pose for selfies!
We will arrive at your care home, ‘unpack’ the alpacas from our trailer, and then meet and greet residents and staff. This can be done inside or outside – dependent upon the weather and your needs. Our alpacas are halter trained so will be led around the premises by an alpaca handler. This lasts about an hour or so and gives plenty of time for interaction without causing any stress to our friendly furry friends. Alpacas are quite happy to be led into smaller resident rooms, if needed.
Residents can stroke the alpacas and feed them or just sit and watch them.
We will give a little bit of history and characteristics of our alpacas and provide a host of interesting and fun facts along with answering any questions.
All our alpacas are ‘toilet trained’ and have satisfied biosecurity measures
